Prior to joining WonderED as Chief Learning Officer, Jason was a public educator, school leader and school founder in Fort Collins, CO for over two decades. He has always been focused on not just his students’ learning, but his own. He believes that the best teachers are also lifelong students, which is one of the reasons he has also been drawn to challenging work. Prior to working with a group of educators to design and open a community-engaged, competency-based 6-12 school, he worked as an International Baccalaureate Program Coordinator for 10 years as well as an IB Workshop Leader, Consultant and Program Evaluator working with schools all over North America. His collaborative spirit and desire for learning has also led to his work with the Colorado State University Writing Project, a professional organization of teachers working to improve writing and communication skills in K-12 students on the Front Range. This has reinforced his desire to break down walls of traditional discrete subject courses (science, math, history, etc.) and help kids see that education is greater and more powerful than what they often learn in the traditional classroom. Yet no experience has had a greater impact on his view of education than his work as a teacher of high school epistemology – the study of knowledge – for the past decade. Leading students through this course helped solidify his understanding of the power of self in the learning process. To understand the world around you, it is first important to understand yourself; how your personal experiences and beliefs impact the way you see and interpret your world. This honoring of identity and the power of each individual student is at the center of his teaching philosophy.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Psychological Development and is nearing completion of a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education. She brings a strong foundation in innovative, student-centered teaching practices, drawing on her expertise in psychological development and special education to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application. Specializing in personalized education, Kim is skilled at supporting students facing diverse academic challenges through data-informed, targeted interventions. In her role, she manages both lab school and academy models, providing flexible educational pathways that meet each student’s unique needs. She works closely with families, offering guidance on program alignment and supporting student progress within these pathways. Known for her proactive approach, Kim consistently tracks attendance, engagement, and academic performance, frequently communicating with parents to address any areas of concern. She maintains comprehensive records and actively monitors diagnostic data, utilizing tools like STAR assessments to identify specific academic support needs. Kim’s approach ensures timely, data-driven interventions that align with individual student goals, empowering students to take ownership of their educational journey within a supportive and inclusive community. Kim's favorite thing about working with students is witnessing the moment when they overcome challenges and seeing the sparkle of pride in their eyes as they realize the progress they've made. It’s this moment of self-discovery and growth that inspires her every day.

Alyse's lifelong to journey of thinking outside the box and focusing on relationship building is helping to guide her to make changes through WonderED Academy. She loves a good challenge, and during Covid and the years after, she traveled the country painting beautiful murals, gaining a spot in both the local newspaper and News Station until she settled back down. She started working at Hudson's Furniture back in June of 2015 and loved it until Covid hit in 2020. She was a Certified Design Consultant. She loved the relationship building that often lead her to be the most trusted Design Consultant at her store and won several awards through the company. It was a wonderful experience. Co-Founder of Rejuvenated Mind, offered counseling services and mentorship to assist people in getting back to a balanced state of mind. At Rejuvenated Mind, we provided encouragement, tools for empowerment, and a guide to a better life. Alyse graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She was a member of the international psychology honor society, Phi Chi. Since graduation, she has explored her passions and found overwhelming joy when helping others. She discovered a talent for assisting others goal plan, discovering what motivated them and ultimately guiding them on a more fulfilling path. If we are not moving forward, we stagnate. More than anything she loves being part of a team that values her input, encourages constant growth and is always moving towards success instead of becoming routine.

As a global educator with over a decade of experience, Daniel has immersed himself in diverse cultures and learning environments. Through his participation in the Fulbright TGC program, he has further enriched his understanding of international education practices and expanded his professional network. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in various aspects of educational development, including curriculum writing, instructional design, and education policy. He is committed to leveraging innovative teaching methodologies and evidence-based practices to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences for students of all backgrounds. He continuously seeks opportunities to contribute to the advancement of educational systems worldwide. He is eager to connect with fellow educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to collaborate on initiatives that promote equity, diversity, and excellence in education.
